Happy Halloween

Joseph was a perfect little helper passing out candy to all the kids this evening. He made it to several houses before stumbling and bumping his chin, but still got a lot of treats thanks to a sack of goodies from the neighbors (and all the grazing he did with mommy while handing out candy).

A New Blog

Monica and I have decided to start our own blog: The Finn Sisters. Taking our appreciation for 3191 a step further and documenting with pictures, the lives of two sisters living across the country from each other. New posts should be up today.

Inspired by my new favorite blog 3191 I went around with the camera this morning and took what are probably some very amateurish and boring photos. Nonetheless, they are an insight into a typical fall weekday morning in the Falls.

A Weekend in Madison

For the first time in six years (eight since my graduation) we returned to Madison for the weekend to attend the wedding of my cousin Katherine to my new cousin Josh. The dress was stunning, the ceremony was beautiful, a painter created an abstract portrait of the couple at the reception where we were also treated to a surprise performance by the Badger marching band! And where was the camera during 90% of the festivities? Either in the car or the hotel room. Such is life.

The first weekend out of town as a foursome went surprisingly smoothly, however. We all had a fantastic time. Joseph and Ian met again after a year and a half, and we got to see family and friends for the first time in years. Here are the few moments that we had the presence of mind to capture on "film":
