Kind of Blue (In a Good Way)

Today was one of the best days I've ever experienced as a husband, father and human being; the sun was shining, the birds were singing, new snow melted away... and everyone we encountered was so very friendly. I love that. Plus, Joseph had his first "real" haircut and he was such an amazing boy. And at the end of a long day, Joseph was introduced to Miles Davis. These photos are but a mere taste of the beauty that was March 22, 2008.

Disco Baby

Maybe I shouldn't have had that one teeny, tiny cup of coffee this morning, but I am really glad that I did because it really woke baby up! About a half an hour after drinking it...Disco Baby Dance Party in the Womb! I am so happy; this is by far the best part of pregnancy and I am so glad that I get to experience it again (and about four weeks earlier this time).

My Talented Husband

If you were lucky enough to get your hands on the special Brett Favre tribute edition of Sports Illustrated released today, then you have probably seen my husband's work on the back cover. The full page Brett Favre Snapper powered by Briggs and Stratton ad was designed entirely by Joe! Congratulations, Joe (and Brett)!

Here Comes Peter Cottontail

Joseph met the Easter Bunny this weekend at our local mall after working off some steam in the toddler play area. Here he is with his new scary friend; just moments away from tears. He was such a brave little boy!

My Happy Boy

Belly Button Fascination

So, Joseph has a fascination with belly buttons. In particular, he enjoys pulling up his shirt and showing people his belly button, but he also enjoys pulling up other peoples' shirts and looking for their belly buttons as well. On Monday, Joseph spent most of the day absentmindedly toying with his belly button. I learned that we may have confused him by trying to explain mommy's pregnancy, because he also pointed to pictures of babies and to his belly button at the same time and giggled. I think that maybe Joseph now thinks that he has a baby living in his belly button. Oh, yeah...and he has been carrying around a toothbrush for almost three weeks now. He brings it everywhere and doesn't let go of it.
