Spontaneous Sleepover
We obliged the Schwenzens last Saturday on a last minute invite to sleepover (something the four of us used to do a lot before J and H showed up!) Here are some pictures from Sunday morning.

We Have Been Married for Three Years: A Tribute to Us
It’s been over five years since we first laid eyes on each other, and three since we made it official. So much has happened; sometimes it seems like we’ve been together forever. Sure, there have been times when we could have thrown in the towel, but we have persevered. I love Melissa completely, even when love is hard to see... and I know she feels the same about me. The state of our union is strong.
From the occasional argument to the shared joy of being parents of an amazing child, our unique brand of mutual affection is frustrating, inspiring, confusing, hilarious and, most of all, beautiful. Beautiful because my wife is a very attractive woman. Beautiful because we still think switching first letters (lirst fetters) is funny. Beautiful because we have given each other permanent nicknames which have very strong and strange roots. Beautiful because we sing together regularly. Beautiful because she makes me want to sing to my boy just like my dad sung to me. Beautiful because we both love Autumn in the purest way. Beautiful because I know that every day, no matter what happened the night before, I kiss her goodbye while she is half asleep and she always tells me to drive safely and that she loves me.
Melissa works extremely hard every day to keep a nice home, raise our son, and maintain her career (her knitting skills, by the way, have officially gone from craft to art. I am so proud of her). Lately, I’m afraid, I have been taking these things for granted. I hope she realizes how much I respect and admire who she is and what she does.
Recently the three of us shared an embrace that I will never forget: Joseph in the middle with an arm around each of us, Melissa and I holding on to him, all heads touching. A perfect moment in time. Pure, unconditional love.
I’m very glad we decided to get married.

At the Pumpkin Farm
It is so nice to have our weekends filled with family and friends again! This weekend we went to Cedarburg to visit Joe's parents and then on Sunday we went to a pumpkin farm with some friends. Here are some pics from the farm.
ALSO: Joseph started walking as of a week ago when we went to stay with my parents for the weekend in Racine. Pictures, and hopefully, video coming soon!
